Does the Job January 19, 2007 Paul Hersh (San Francisco) I've had this for 2 yeaRS, and I've been very pleased, so I got one for my son. Small footprint = plenty of power. It might not suit a large family (hence 4 stars, but if space is higher on your list this is dandy.
It burned itself December 26, 2004 J. Zhang (IL, USA) 6 out of 16 found this review helpful
Don't buy it. It is the worst microwave I have ever used. It is not as powerful as 700W should be. It always takes minutes to heat up stuff, as slow as my 12-year-old 550W Emerson. Worst of all, it stopped working after one week with laud humming sound and wire burning smell came from its parts.
A must-have for every kitchen December 8, 2004 Fruit Loop (Down South) 29 out of 30 found this review helpful
I bought my Sharp to replace my old microwave which was a "higher end" model, but found the Sharp to be superior not only in price but quality. The turntable was much more durable the cooking quality is excellent. Doesn't take up much space and the price is reasonable. Makes a great shower or housewarming gift and is just the right size for a college dorm or new apartment.
