Great Little Oven ! June 28, 2008 Patrice B. Boone 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A 650 watt JEWEL ! Yes, it's a small, low powered unit. For me, that's the charm. Consider, most homes have 200 amps incoming power. My boat has 30. One watt over the limit and fuses blow. When I searched for the lowest wattage microwave, imagine my delight when I found this unit that bakes and toasts as well! I use the low wattage side of a two burner cooktop to fry bacon and eggs, while using the Sharp Warm and Toasty to bake blueberry muffins and I still having enough power to run the air conditioner and the refrigerator/freezer if only one light is on and the coffee has already been made and is only running the warming plate. Oh. The ship to shore radio can be on too. That's living well! One thing - I read the manual. That's important with this unit. It's not that complex, but it IS 3 different machines in one and to get the best out of it, one needs to make the right selections. Also, understand the limitations of 650 watts. My iron is 1000 watts. My iron would blow the fuses on the boat every time and it can't bake great cornbread, like this little oven does. I found a small cast iron skillet with a wooden handle, removed the handle so it would fit in the oven, and the cornbread is as good as from home. At first I thought toast was slow. But using the toaster grid, it browned nicely on both sides and tastes great. Then I timed my toaster/oven at home... both take 4 minutes. Never tried popcorn, but I routinely feed guests (2 - 4 people) from my tiny galley and everyone is amazed. Thanksgiving, four of us had baked chicken and cornbread dressing, baked green bean w/ mushroom casserole, fresh squash, cranberry sauce, pear salad and iced tea with Boston Crème Pie for dessert. Never could have done that with a plain-jane microwave and there's NO WAY I'm going to use propane below decks. I love it!
A real space saver May 17, 2008 Oliver C. Pierce (OH USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product is perfect if you don't have enough space for a microwave, toaster, and toaster oven. It does a good job with all of those functions. It isn't as large as some of the big microwaves, but most common microwave items fit in it with no problem. Compared to other models we've owned it is relatively easy to use even with so many options to choose from. Our only issue is that the preset popcorn time isn't nearly long enough. We would reccomend this item to anyone interested in a combination microwave/toaster oven/oven
Replacement to one lost in Katrina May 12, 2008 Brandi Downs (New Orleans, LA) Though I could live witout but when I replaced the Little toaster/micro I realized how much I used this little jewel. Glad to have this helping hand back. Bess

Great multifunction oven January 1, 2008 aaronlws (NYC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This thing toasts and microwaves...and is really small (not significantly larger than the toaster / oven it replaced). I've toasted and microwaved with it and it works. Toast came out perfect and the microwaved food was cooked / hot / etc... It is a bit underpowered as both a toaster and a microwave, but that just means cooking for slightly longer than in a standalone toaster / microwave. The trade off in space savings is worth it to me (by far). The design and colors are nicer than I thought they would be. While not quite a full on stainless steal aesthetic...it pretty much looks as such.
