This microwave may be mid-sized but that doesn't stop it from being a powerhouse. 6 cook options, 6 reheat options, and 4 defrost options add up to a real performer for today's busy lifestyle.

5 out of 5 stars Read the instructions   September 5, 2008

This oven is beautiful, but I had to incinerate a couple of things before I was nudged into reading the instructions. I thought I knew enough about microwaves from years of using my old one. However, programming this one is a bit like the old video games where you run into the wall three times to get an extra life. Once you know how, it is easy, but there is no way you could figure it out without a cheat sheet.

Now, I love this microwave and recommend it, but we did get off to a rocky start.

4 out of 5 stars microwave review   August 31, 2008

Looks great. Works great. Very powerful for size. The popcorn button always burns the popcorn though. Company needs to tweek that setting.

4 out of 5 stars Powerful!   August 25, 2008
William K (Miami, Florida)
This microwave is bigger than conventional Microwaves ovens, and it is noticeably more powerful than all other microwave ovens I've had (including old big ones).

Popcorn is made in 1:45, depending on the brand it may even need less time to cook. All food and drinks heated in the oven are heated well and fast.

Gave it 4 stars because the number keypad is covered by the door. There are only 4 buttons outside: popcorn, 1 Minute Plus, Stop/Clear and Start. So to set any timing or food cooking you have to: 1- put the food in the microwave. 2- with the door open set your cooking time and preferences. 3- close the door, 4- press start.

This is uncommon way for setting a microwave and it disrupts the typical way of 1- put food in, 2-close door, 3- set cook time, 4- press start. Which tends to be a little bit faster.

2 out of 5 stars LED Started to go after 5 months   August 20, 2008
Elbow (Salem, MA USA)
I had no complaints about this machine for the first four months (would have been 4 or 5 stars) but I will now have to return it - which is a massive hassle given its size. The LED readout has burned out on two of the vertical bars. It's actual two sequential bars in two columns for a total of 4 sections of the LED that are unreadable. You'd think that might be minor until you realize how often you look at the microwave to tell the time or see how much time remains with your cooking. It becomes untenable quickly.

5 out of 5 stars Great product   August 15, 2008

Purchased this for summer home - needed powerful but compact unit and this is it. Looks great, heats as promised and easy to use. Only 'complaint'- the numbers are too faint for someone with macular - but this isn't unique to this unit. I read all the reviews for the variety of units I could have purchased and this one rated the highest - which proved correct. Next time I need a new microwave, will definitely put Sharp at the top of the list.
