3 out of 5 stars Good coffee pot, but not completely happy   September 30, 2008
T. Wake
First of all, let me say that this pot makes a GREAT cup of brew. I have been very satisfied with the quality of coffee that is made from this machine. You can brew at regular strength or there is an option for a "strong" pot, and I generally keep it on the strong setting.

Countertop appearance is very nice. It looks great in the kitchen. Some makers are just downright ugly, but this one is very attractive.

The decanter is nice. It holds 12 cups of coffee (a must in this house) and it feels good pouring. The handle is large and sturdy.

My major complaint... sometimes (I suppose it is when the maker needs to go through a cleaning cycle) it will not make the full pot of coffee. It will make about 4 cups and then stop. Sometimes turning it off and back on will make it go ahead and finish brewing the pot, but sometimes it won't. This is very frustrating first thing in the morning or when you have company over and you can't get a cup of coffee. I know that coffee makers need to be cleaned, but I've never had one do this.

Also, the workmanship on this pot seems a little cheap. But, if the appearance is nice and is functional, I can overlook this.

I cannot give this maker any better of a rating because of the inconsistency of its brewing, but other than that, it's a good product.

2 out of 5 stars silver   September 17, 2008

i didnt realize it was so cheap looking, and it didnt fit,
i dont know if it works well, honestly doubt it. when i received it i fount that it was some silver paper covered with clear plastic. i mean i would go for the regular silver plastic, but this just didnt look right. and what if water got insid the plastic, that means the paper would get stained. and when i was reviewing it, it didnt mention anything it being made this way. anyways i thougth ok maybe this could work, well not really, i took a step back to look how it looks with my kitchen and realized that its not even black. all the handles and everything that was suppose to be black was grey. :( i messed with it looked at it, and the coffee pot didnt even seem to fit. you know how when you put the glass pot in to brew, well this one was kind of sticking out, and didnt seem like it was made for it. completely unhappy with it. and the only reason i didnt give one star is because i didnt try to make coffee, im thinking something might have gone wrong with that one too.

4 out of 5 stars Blue light warning   September 15, 2008
C. Landers (Round Rock, TX)
I researched a lot of coffee makers before purchasing this one, and overall the reviews were very helpful. The coffee maker works well and makes good coffee. The warming plate is a bit tricky. I had to play with it to get it to keep the coffee warm without scorching it. My biggest problem is how insanely bright the blue LCD display is. I had to move my coffee maker because the light was shining from my kitchen into my bedroom and disturbing my sleep. I contacted the manufacturer to see if there was a way to dim the light or turn it off since everything else is adjustable- but no. They suggested that I place a towel over it or tape a piece of paper over the clock, neither a very attractive offer. So I moved the coffee maker to a new, more hidden location, and I can sleep again.

5 out of 5 stars Best coffeemaker   September 12, 2008
Mitzi Lou (San Diego, CA)
I love this coffeemaker and all its features. It's the best one I've ever owned. Judging from all my research before buying this, it seems coffeemakers don't live long these days. Sure hope this one holds out because I'm really happy with it. I've used it about 20 times so far with no problems.

5 out of 5 stars Coffee Heaven   September 10, 2008
S. Smith (Rockingham, NC)
This coffee maker was given as a wedding gift, and what a wonderful gift it turned out to be. It is simple to operate, no lengthy manual reading needed, and it truly makes the best cup of coffee I have ever had at home. I love the convenience of setting the morning brew time, and having it remember all your settings each time. I was able to alter the amount of coffee I use by setting the strength. I feel it's best feature though, is the temperature setting. I love a hot cup of coffee (not warm), and this feature allows you to set your perfect temperature. If you want a cup of coffee before it's finished brewing, you just pull out the pot and pour your cup, then it resumes making the coffee when you replace it (works perfect every time, no leaks), how cool is that? For the price (paid 39.99), I doubt you will find anything better.
