| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description In a bright red, this retro-looking stool has retractable, spring-mounted casters that make it simple to move with a nudge of the foot. Place it near a bookshelf, below a cupboard or under a set of high shelves and you'll have a helpful step-up for grabbing what you need. It supports up to 500 pounds - its solid steel and sturdy rubber construction ensure a long life. Wrap-around bumpers prevent nicks and scratches on furniture; a non-skid vinyl tread provides added safety. Measures 14-inches tall and has a two-level stepping surface.

These are commonly used in libraries. I work in a library realized that these were the perfect solution to reaching things in the kitchen that my 6'+ family puts up just out of my reach. No more having to go after the ladder!
Exactly what you'd expect... January 3, 2007 Bill Anderson (Glasgow, Ky USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If you've ever seen these before, then this is exactly what you'd expect. Sturdy and well made, easy to assemble (takes about 2 minutes), these do a super job. They're tough, too. The box this was delivered in was practically demolished - one side was ripped open and crushed, but the stool didn't even have a scratch. Very handy, very stable. SPring-loaded wheels allow you to move it easily, then it drops and "locks" into place when you step on it. You need one of these.
