Product Description
A rubber gasket's primary purpose is to create a constant tight seal. Over time a gasket can dry out and lose its elasticity. If you notice this happening, replace the gasket immediately. A worn out gasket can lead to steam not building up, or worse, escaping from your cooker.

Excellent replacement April 9, 2008

My old gasket didn't fall apart. It just went missing. This replacement works great. My pressure cooker is sealed, and my 45 minute pot roast is the envy of all who see it.

Well I only had my original seal that came with the cooker about 4 months- it went bad (I did oil it like they advised) so we shall see how long this one lasts. I only use the cooker once or twice a month.

It works!!! The proof of the pudding is how long it lasts. The original got hard fairly early.

What a gasket. Beautiful, elegant, and effective, this gasket is truly a credit to the world of silicon. Other gaskets only dream of being a Fagor gasket. Get this gasket and you'll find yourself the center of attention at elegant parties.

How does one review a gasket? This fits perfectly and appears to be top-quality. The price was in line with what I found elsewhere, including in stores.
