I was really looking forward to getting this. But I have been very dissapointed. The cans always fall off and it rarely opens a can all the way. It is frustrating! Not worth the $40 I paid for it.

We wanted an electric can opener but didn't want anymore clutter on the kitchen counters. The KitchenAid mixer was already on the counter so adding the attachment was the perfect solution. It has worked well for us. Its a little more expensive than a free-standing unit but seems very well built and looks like it will last forever.

The can opener does stick quite far out from the mixer, but works very well, and because I have my mixer in the corner, the space the opener takes up is not a problem and I keep my opener attached to the mixer all the time.

I have had several can openers both manual and electric and for each one my only expectation was that they should open a can easily......they did not. I have finally found a can opener that works, works easily, works every time, does just what I expect it to do .....open a can.

i have had this product for awhile now and frankly it has been a nightmare. it does not work!!!!! in the beginning the cans fell out and never opened on the first pass. as time passed the problem became worse eventually the can do not open at all and the cans push right out or fall out while spinning, now the cans do not open at all. i went out ad bought a new hand crank. eventually i feel all of you will be this unhappy. i have had this opener for a few years and it became completely nonfunctional after 6 months.
