This mixer cover fits my 4.5 KitchenAid mixer perfectly, even with the bowl on the stand! It's huge and has pockets on the side, too! I'm very impressed and thankful I found a cheaper priced alternative than the other KitchenAid mixer covers - thanks, Amazon and Goodman's! Happy New Year! =)

When I made the order to Amazon, and requested the mixer cover, I thought I had purchased enough to receive free shipping. However, I did not know that another company/store would be involved, thus I did not get "free shipping" on that order. I had not had this experience before, as I order mostly books, and did not know that the order would go out to someone else. I tried to cancel the order, had to call, but clerk said it had already been shipped. It is gift for Xmas, so kept it, to avoid the trouble of looking for another, but did not feel I should have had to pay shipping charges. Will realize this next time.......
 Does NOT fit Professional Series stand mixers August 8, 2007

Kitchenaid produces this cover for all of its stand mixers, but the fact is, it does NOT fit their line of Professional Series mixers. I called the company, and they said the cover is actually sized to fit the smaller stand mixer and will be two inches too short when used on the larger professional stand mixers. Kitchenaid's slogan is "For the way its made." Well, this product isn't "made" like it should be. When it's mounted on my stand mixer, it looks like a person wearing pants that are too short! It looks pretty rediculous in my kitchen.
