5 out of 5 stars Best blender ever   August 24, 2007

After owning several blenders this is by far the best one yet. Although more expensive than an average blender it is very much worth the extra money as I don't think this one will wear out for a long time. I have been blending everything from smoothies with ice, milk shakes, veges, herbs, and nuts, and everything has come out perfect. I also love all of the extra attachments, I highly recommend this blender.

5 out of 5 stars Osterizers can't be beat   July 21, 2007

You can't find a better looking, better performing blender. The 6-piece set is an excellent value. I use the mini food processor attachment frequently. Great for garlic, onion, ginger, and other spices. Easy to use and clean. The blender motor and blades are powerful and have no problems chopping ice for frozen beverages. I mistakenly failed to include my original Osterizer in my shipment to Afghanistan and had no qualms about buying a second to use here.

5 out of 5 stars Love this blender!!!!   July 8, 2007

I use this blender every morning to make a protein shake, and I use about 12 ice cubes (instead of the 5 or 6 indicated in the product instructions). All of the ice is ground up smoothly with no chunks, and it does it in just a few seconds! I have been mourning the demise of my thirty year old Osterizer blender - it was the perfect blender! I've tried other blenders, but I was very disappointed in the ice crushing ability of each one. The 4125 works like my original blender that I loved. The best part is that this one has more features. It make great milk shakes, and it has done a good job with routine food processing jobs.

I don't think this blender is as loud as I was led to believe by reading the other reviews. It is actually quieter than my old one and the other models I have recently tried, and it works so quickly that the noise is not an issue at all for me.

I highly recommend this model for anyone looking for a heavy duty blender.

First, I love the look of this blender. The milkshake attachment is wonderful. I feel like I am in a restaurant using the chrome cup, and the milkshake attachment makes everything light and frothy.

Purchase extra O-rings and an additional attachment for the bottom of the blender jar that holds the blade in place.

Okay...After all the hype surrounding this blender...i finally fell for it after a year.
The Good...Its a good Blender...Not a good Food processor!

THe MEtal and glass bender both do a pretty good job of blending...especially ice.

The Food processor..the plastic is thin and might crack anytime...its a joke...i tried making salsa in it and if u add any water or tomatoes ..its gonna splash out..So i decided to use it only for dry items.and So i tried grinding small cut pieces of coconut in it..dry..the consistency was like little pearly grains..not what i wanted..

Then came the mini blender...this is a peice of joke practically. And the size true to its name...just not right...i said ...what the heck...ill still use it for small jobs...but every time i used it..the plastic shreds..it was this colorless jar when it came...and just with the first and second use its off white..and shredded...mind u this is only after grinding some chillies...

the milk sake blade i havent tried...

but overall..this is really just a blender...the food processor is a gimmick...

For most people who use blenders just for smoothies its an overkill...but for the rest of the lot...move on..dont fall for this like i did..

thanks
