The best hand blender around February 13, 2008 Raj Rao (Denver, CO) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After almost a month of usage - I have got to say that this is if not the best - atleast the most convenient hand-blender around. This item comes with 3 seperate attachments. The motor is housed as a seperate assembly. This is good - as it makes cleanup a snap. (All the attachments - except for the motor - are dish-washer safe) There maybe cheaper hand-blenders out there - but from as far as I can tell from my searches - the Kitchen Aid is the only one that allows you to dial in the speed of the motor. For most applications the lowest speed is enough - but for whisking - its good to have the higher speed options. The blender does a great job. And as its made out of metal - you can take it to the hottest foods without a worry. And as its made out of metal - it does not take on the stain from foods - like when you work with tomatoe paste or indian spices like turmeric. I absolutely love the chopper. It does a great job on onions - and actually chops it instead of making a paste out of it. (Though on tomatoes - it doesnt do a good job chopping - so use it for crushing tomatoes). And again cleanup is a breeze - as the chopper can be rinsed under water - or thrown into the dishwasher. My only
very powerful January 20, 2008 JavaRhythm (Lummi Island) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Awesome! Very powerful, I took about 1/2lb. of mixed nuts and made nut butter with it. I put them in a deep jar and added a teaspoon of olive oil. It took about 10 minutes of intense grinding and mixing, but it produced a fine liquified nut butter. It would produce chuncky in just a few minutes, but I was grinding for someone with diverticulitis, so it had to be very smooth. I don't know if the attachments will ever be used, but this thing is very powerful. it does get hot when you work it this hard though.
Great Product January 7, 2008 MN Cooker This product works beautifully when making soups, sauces, etc. It's much easier than any other method of blending ingredients, with much better results.
Kitchen Aid Hand Blender December 31, 2007 Cynthia Robutka (WEATHERFORD, TEXAS United States) This product is fantastic! The variable speeds make it a wonderful addition to every kitchen. The accessories that come with it are great. It does everything. Great buy and now something that I can not do without.
