This peeler works every bit as good as oxo says it does. Treat it more like a knife than a peeler, this sucker is sharp!

The handle is comfy -- like most OXO products -- and the blade is sharp and comes with a little plastic snap-on cover. The only complaint is that it isn't the easiest to clean, esp. if you won't want to put it in the dishwasher.

We had a few old and not so sharp peelers around the kitchen and we bought many of the OXO Good Grip items to replace our old and unattractive kitchen utensils, and love the quality, comfortable grips, and looks of our new kitchen essentials. This peeler is very sharp and makes peeling vegetables significantly easier than before. we also bought the replacement blades just in case, but this is the sharpest peeler we've ever owned.
I would recommend the OXO Good Grips to any of my family or friends with no hesitation. we are very impressed by the OXO Good Grips utensils for the comfortable handles, quality construction looks and price.
