Powerful but very difficult to clean November 20, 2007 RRhinehart (Kailua-Kona, HI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As the title says, I was pleased with the powerfulness of this blender, but the special cavitator part in the bottom is next to impossible to clean. It takes about 10 gallons of water to flush out most of the stuff, and you might still have a few chunks left in there. Who knows though because you can't see in.
Smoothie heaven. July 30, 2007 Judy L. Brady (Lancaster, PA) Very nice! It is a powerful blender and makes great smoothies from frozen fruit without a struggle. Seems much more powerful than the top notch Kitchenaide I used to have and burned out. Love the Stir stick that goes through the lid --key feature. The blade is VERY sharp...surprised me the first time I washed it as my old blender never had a sharp blade. It is tricky to wash and I'm a little worried about the longevity of the spighot as its a bit "plastic-y", not as tough as I would hope. We'll see. The large volume is also a nice feature. One downside is that it is too tall to fit on my countertop under my upper cabinets.
LEAKS I am returning mine June 9, 2007 Elaine C. Harris (Florida) I am been pretty disappointed - the "spout" is like one of the other reads said really nothing much more than a gimmick - the idea is good, but the quality is poor so this drips even after turning "off" the spout.... I have to agree with this comment and since I purchased it to use at my Bar I have to say it does blend wonderful and you could use with out the spout. It makes really good Margarita's and to help pour you have to put it on low blend and pour at the same time this helps push it out. The dispenser TAP is Plastic and does not have enough pressure on it to stop the pour. I have a really cheap blender that does a better job.
Poor quality - drips and not well constructed May 12, 2007 TerraFirma (Doylestown, PA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been pretty disappointed - the "spout" is really nothing much more than a gimmick - the idea is good, but the quality is poor so this drips even after turning "off" the spout.... Cleaning is very difficult as some of the pieces don't come apart.... Surely there have to be better quality units at the same price point.
powerful but not perfect April 16, 2007 Carolyn H (virginia, usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
PROS: very powerful. does the job. doesn't leak. CONS: 1)square container is hard to pour from. I recommend using one of the corners instead. b) it's hard to clean down inside the base where the spout opening is, which btw, I never use the pour spot so I use the screw on stopper there c) it's hard to get the container unscrewed from the base (no leaks for sure) I don't use it as often as I could. It mostly collects dust. But I'll keep it until the smaller personal smoothie makers start getting better ratings.
