Not hot enough October 19, 2008 Charles T. Grayson (Memphis, TN USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This machine doesn't get hot enough to create truly crisp waffles. Using an infrared thermometer, I read the surface temperature to be only about 400 degrees Fahrenheit on the highest setting. My 20 year old Toastmaster reaches almost 600 degrees when I select "dark". These waffles come out much crisper and darker than those from the Cuisinart.
Cuisinart round waffle maker October 13, 2008 R. Bittle 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have only used this waffle maker once. And I have noticed some problems. The Cuisinart round waffle maker seems to be a bit cheap, the hinge connection seems like it will break easily, and it cooks a little fast. The cooking is also un-even, some parts on the waffles are burnt and some parts are not even cooked! I know it is very hard to try to find a classic round waffle maker besides this one. Overall, this seems to suffice enough for my needs.
The Best October 12, 2008 Lord Knows I am very pleased with it, I knew I would be as I have a Coffee maker of the same brand. I look for the Cuisinart Brand when I go to purchase an item. I will use the waffel maker often and would order it again. Thanks!!
BEST EVER September 20, 2008 willow (Vermont) I have tryed many waffle makers. They look cheap, run over, uneven cooking. This one does none of those things. EXCELLENT !
Works GREAT! September 13, 2008 sundancekeed (Atlanta, GA) We like homemade breakfasts at my house and I wanted a traditional waffle maker, not the Belgian style. In my experience, those waffles lose heat too fast. I saw the Cuisinart and ordered it. Unlike some people who've reviewed this product, I've found the setting scale works very well as long as you pay attention to the signal light. Also, after using no-stick spray on the first few waffles, we haven't needed it since. As long as you let the waffle iron heat until you get a green light, you won't have any problem with sticking. This is a great product for the money.
