Had One For Years October 26, 2008 Buddy2001 (Lakewood, NJ) I had this coffee grinder for a number of years and somehow it got lost when I moved. It came with a coffee maker as a free gift a number of years ago and it way out lived the coffee maker. I was still using the grinder until about two years ago when it was lost. Maybe because I am not the biggest coffee drinker but I do like certain flavored coffees and prefer to grind the beans myself. I do recommend this grinder great price.
A Good Choice October 16, 2008 Ruth in Somerset, NJ This grinder works well, grinds quickly, and holds 2/3 cup, larger than my last one.
Classic October 14, 2008 B. J. Allen (Oklahoma) This is a classic for any kitchen. I had one for over 20 years that still was running when the plastic lid cracked. I wouldn't buy a different kind--ever!
Excellent Product October 8, 2008 Span-Unit (Florida) The Krups 203-70 Fast Touch Coffee Grinder has exceeded all my expectations. Before ordering, I did quite a bit of online research looking for something to use specifically as a spice grinder and wound up here. Amazon also has the lowest price, great service and low shipping cost. I placed my order online late Saturday afternoon and it was leaning against my front door the following Tuesday. That's hard to beat. Due to a recent medical condition, I've had to completely change my diet to a very low fat and under 2000 mg sodium daily diet, so I'm using herbs & spices like crazy and needed something that could not only combine a good mix of these, but turn them into a powder. The Krups 203-70 does exactly that... My first test was a teaspoon of whole fennel seeds ground continuously for about 8-seconds (shaking the Krups up and down so none would be lost under the blades) and a fine powder came out. So fine that static electricity made a good bit cling to the clear cup/lid.. like talc. The cup has a very smooth, non-textured finish that cleans easily. Instead of rinsing it under water, I just closed my eyes and 'puffed' into it.. all gone. Same to the blade area. Of course, some aroma remains inside and can't be rinsed away, but the next use will just absorb it and leave it's own. I'm not grinding anything with oils so I'm not expecting any discolorations, ransid oil odors or greasy residues that may also stain... none of that. The most surprising feature is how quiet this is. The only grinding, crunching, rattle noises are from what you put in it, like peppercorns. The motor on this is whisper quiet.. it's spooky . One thing though... the first time you start it make sure you're holding it with both hands. There's lot's of torque in that little engine. I'm using this exclusively for herbs & spices so there should be no strain at all on the motor and, hopefully, will last for years to come. I've had it now for almost 2 months and if it failed to work today, I'd buy the same model new again in a heartbeat. Cord length is about 24". Had to squeeze that in... It's hard to find a review that mentions the cord length on anything.
