This inexpensive gadget makes great espresso that you can convert into what the Italians call "cafe Americano" or what we call a regular cup of coffee by adding an equal amount of hot water. I didn't believe it but take my word for it: you can make great coffee with this thing.
Downside: several plastic parts to clean (although just running water over them does the trick), a limit to how big a cup you want, and pushing down on the plastic pump is a tab dangerous--if your push isn't totally vertical you could knock it over with the hot coffee inside.

I love the Aeropress! It is simple to use and super easy to clean! The coffee quality is wonderful, I can use my own coffee, and I can make myself an easy espresso or Americano in a few minutes, hassle-free. I cannot rave enough about this coffee maker. I've had it for months, and am finally writing this review so people know what they're missing! Miles away from messy clean up of French presses, or expensive complicated machinery for an espresso machine. Easier than keeping track of when a Moka coffeemaker boils, to avoid burning. And of course, much better coffee compared to a regular drip coffee maker. You HAVE to try this out!
