5 out of 5 stars Great for Greek Frappe   November 5, 2007

I own one of these for my home and cottage. I love "frappes", the Greek ice coffee drink with froth. Just put one tablespoon of original Nescafe in the glass carafe. Add crushed ice and water. Then, insert froth maker and "pump" about 20 times. Pour over more crushed ice for a frothy iced coffee drink without any milk. Add sugar or drink "sketo". Enjoy!

5 out of 5 stars Never steam again   September 12, 2007

This is the most convenient little item if you are a coffee and cappuccino drinker at home. I used to froth the milk and always had problems with foaming correctly.

Pour milk in to the the line, 45 seconds in the microwave and pump the frothing screen a few times. Remove the screen and allow the froth to sit a few moments before pouring over the cappuccino and it will be stiffer for topping off your beverage.

Clean up is fast, but keep an extra glass in the cupboard as they are easy to break if you are not very careful.

Makes foamy milk much better than my espresso machine. Works like a charm. A friend who has one agrees, though she points out that the glass is a bit on the thin side and can break easily if you're not careful. The first week I got it I kept making foam and showing it to friends and family. They found this tiresome, but capuccino lovers will understand.

This product works great. Microwave safe so I just heat my soymilk in the microwave and give it a few pumps. I have lots of frothy milk for my latte which is my treat to myself for getting up and facing the day!

5 out of 5 stars A coffee-lover's essential   January 4, 2007

Unlike the more difficult to clean and fussy frother attached to our espresso machine, this one is very simple to use and easy to clean - we just rinse it after use and let it dry. It enables you to quickly make froth for cocoa or other beverages without having to mess with the espresso machine, and it produces superior froth, too. We have a hot water tap installed at our sink, so our preferred method is to put some dry milk powder in the unit, fill it to the line with hot water, and pump - just 4 or 5 pumps produces a cloud of froth. We also own BonJour Monet coffee presses in two sizes and recommend them highly. Currently, we are using the frother with an Alessi stove-top espresso pot and have given our espresso machine away.
