1 out of 5 stars Oily water made it unusable   February 25, 2008
Jacob Lipman (MD, USA)
We tried and tried with this product, but every time we cleaned it out, the water was full of some oily resedue. We cleaned it as instructed, but it didn't work. I would stay away from this. If you are making coffee you mioght not notice the resedue, but if you just boil water it's clearly unclear and disgusting.

5 out of 5 stars Coffee made easy   February 17, 2008
Lester E (MA, USA)
We were a bit nervous about the ease of use of this commercial coffee maker. However, it's pretty easy to use and does the trick for our department. I am pleased with the product and the price.

4 out of 5 stars I use a lot of hot water   February 7, 2008
Nancy A. Barkley (Little Elm, Texas USA)
It has almost become traditional in our family to get me this item, new, for more years than I can remember. It works 24/7 at our house, but at just about 1 year of age, it starts dripping water either around the spout, or actually just dripping. I guess it would be a worn out washer perhaps?
In any case, this years urn didn't make it a year, but fell short by 3 months.
I'm shopping again for another, but can't give 5 stars.. quite.

5 out of 5 stars Great Coffee Maker   February 6, 2008

I bought this to use at work and here we are a year later and I couldn't be happier with it. This does take a little elbow grease to get fully clean, but it does get clean. Also, when clean the coffee is hotter and tastes better. I use the stock filter that came with the coffee maker plus the Mr. Coffee filters ( the white ones ) and have never had a problem, and the cleanup is easier, and the coffee tastes the same. I would definately recommend this and Amazon has great service... go ahead and buy one, you won't regret it.

5 out of 5 stars West Bend Coffee maker   December 27, 2007
Simscook (CT)
I bought this item for home use and found it to be reliable and easy to use. This is the second time I have purchased this item - the first was for an organization to which I belong. That first coffee urn gets weekly use and it has withstood lots of wear over the last year. Based on this prior experience, I decided to purchase the same model for my home use.
