2 out of 5 stars Unhappy with item, not service   December 18, 2007

The service in receiving this product was great. However, this item is horrible. I thought that it would be easy to clean and dry out, but the only opening is the spout, which doesn't dry out the inside of the teapot sompletely. I have used it twice and have reallly been unhappy with it. The wannabe nozzle doesn't stay open long enough to dry the inside out before being able to put it away in the cabinet. I've been wanting to send it back and get another type as an exchange, but I figured that since I used it twice, I couldn't. I have resorted to the old fashioned way of heating water, by way of stove or microwave, while this little worthless teapot sits on top of my fridge.

Great Price @ $2.99. Great kettle. We use this all the time. Perfect for heating up water for hot cocoa or tea. Heats up quickly. My kids love to hear it whistle...then they know it cocoa time!

3 out of 5 stars Whistling kettle that doesn't whistle   October 30, 2007

This kettle is nice and light, due mainly to it's aluminum construction. Due to the rather limited range in which the cap opens,I found it a little difficult to pour water into it. This kettle doesn't really whistle, it hardly makes noise at all. I think there was some production issues, since too much steam is coming out of the side of the cap, than the hole in the middle. This works if you are sensitive to noise, but is not good if you tend to walk away and may forget about it, since you can't hear it from another room.

As an aside, I wonder if aluminum is a good material to use here. I like it's light weight, but the water doesn't seem as hot as from my previous steel kettle. My ramen noodles dont cook as nicely and I have to use the microwave to complete the cooking process...strange.

3 out of 5 stars No zing with the Zingo   May 7, 2007

Made of aluminum which it makes it very light weight. Pours really easily. Boils quickly. But the whistle is soooo weak, it's barely audible. Since I paid $5 for it, I guess I got my money's worth. Don't think it's gonna last very long.

4 out of 5 stars Nice Little Tea Kettle   March 30, 2007

I like this tea kettle because it's heavy duty but light weight. The only problem is that if the gas heat is a little too hight, the handle gets hot. The handle should remain cool at all times. I do use a pot holder when pouring boiling water from it. Also, the whistle feature doesn't work well. Otherwise, it's fine.
