I was enthusiastic to buy this product, but it was not clear to me until I had ordered, received, unpacked, and started to use it that the machine is restricted to operation under 6200 ft. elevation. This is not a problem for most consumers, but I live at 7800 ft. I wished that Amazon had made this limitation clear in the advertisement of this product. The good news is that returning the product to Amazon was relatively painless -- facilitated by the easy-to-use online ("don't need to talk with anyone") customer support. Not so with the espresso I ordered along with it. Amazon classifies this as groceries and will not accept it back. Since it is packaged in unique pods made specially for this machine, it is my loss.

The tassimo is perfect for households like ours. We all drink different things. My husband is an all forms of coffee guy, i like teas and my kids drink hot cocoa and the teenager is experimanting with coffee now as well. If your house wastes more coffee than it drinks this is perfect for you.

The Tassimo uses a bar code on each pod so that each cup, whether it be a speciality choice such as a latte or expresso, or your traditional cup of coffee, is always perfect. We purchased a second Tassimo for our summer home as well. Upon returning from Paris, our son skeptically tried a latte (milk is separtely steamed) and decided it rivaled those of the Paris cafes. Enjoy!

I was lucky to have already tried this at work so only needed to convince my other half that we needed it. Various coffee makers have had their position in our kitchen over the years from the filter machine to the expresso pressure type. They all lost their appeal quite rapidly as the use/cleaning far outweighed the benefits of the taste. This machine is different - I don't know of a better one.
