Best home-made coffee I've ever had August 11, 2008 Mark Feblowitz After a year of making and enjoying coffee from a french press, my son bought me an AeroPress. I was intrigued by the ingenious design and high quality of materials and manufacturing, but I was not prepared for the excellent coffee it produces, the simplicity of operating and cleaning, and how much fun it is to use. I don't usually drink espresso, so I mostly use my AeroPress to make Cafe Americano. The coffee is richly flavorful, very smooth, and surprisingly un-bitter. Cleanup is trivial - I just eject the "coffee puck" into the trash and give the AeroPress a quick rinse. This is a stark contrast to the french press - I never know what to do with the coffee grounds from it. My only complaint (and it's minor) is that I end up using more ground coffee per cup than with drip or french press methods. I guess that goes with the territory, since I'm really making espresso, not brewing coffee. Overall, though, I use my Aeropress almost exclusively now.
Easy steps to make great cup of coffee August 10, 2008 R. Khader (Jordan) I have a coffee press machine, but this is different, very fast easy to clean and great coffee taste even my parents love the coffee taste, light with low acidity. A+
Best coffee maker I have ever had. August 10, 2008 Beth A. Stoddard (Mancos,CO) The Aeropress makes great tasting coffee. I feel like I wake up to my own espresso, latte or the best coffe, whatever your taste buds feel like.
Very good, if you follow the instructions August 6, 2008 Chris Hann (Alameda, CA United States) We have an espresso machine, access to a commercial espresso machine, a drip machine and this. The wife's company gives us more Java than we can drink, so the slightly less efficient use of coffee isn't an issue for us. Compared to the espresso machines this is relatively fast and easy, there's no tamping and no intermediate shot glasses. I use espresso ground coffee from a burr grinder, I grind what I need and dump it straight in then add the water, stir, count to twenty and apply pressure to the plunger. I could grind it less fine, use more coffee and less pressure. But this works for me. The results are fine, as good as the espresso machines for Americano. How anyone can be enough of a coffee snob to claim that this gives "no flavor" just escapes me, like saying an orange has no color. What I do notice is that the bitterness is gone, perhaps they don't know that bitterness is not flavor? Cleanup is extremely simple, the plug of mostly dry grounds and the filter just drop into the compost bin and the last few grounds can be wiped or washed off in a couple of seconds. The drip machine is worthless now and sitting waiting to be recycled or passed on to someone else. Update: We bought this at the same time as a DeLonghi espresso machine, the wife said she prefers that so I left her the machine and took the Aeropress to work. After less than a month the novelty of the machine has worn off and she's asking for the Aeropress back because it's faster and less fuss to use. So I ordered another one.
A Perfect Cup of Coffee! August 6, 2008 Ginger E. Ritchie (Utah) AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker A co-worker introduced me to the AeroPress Coffee and Espresso maker after we decided to brew our coffee in the office rather than buying a cup dailey at our local gas station. It's quick, convenient and easy to do. No bitter coffee taste. A perfect cup of coffee EVERY time! A must have for any coffee lover!
