5 out of 5 stars Waffles for Sunday Brunch are a tradition   April 24, 2008
Ann B. Lacey (Massachusetts transplanted in Kansas)
This is the best product. And, I'm so glad I read all the reviews before I bought my waffle maker. Don't waste time getting a small one. I bought the Cuisinart waffle maker that makes 6 at a time. In 10 minutes I can make 12 waffles for Sunday brunch. We love them and if we have leftovers I freeze them and put them in the toaster for snacks. I've never been disappointed with Cuisinart products.

5 out of 5 stars Great for the whole family!   April 9, 2008

We read many reviews before buying this waffle maker, and we have to say that most of bad reviews are inaccurate. The handle is not too small, it's just the right size, and there is little chance that you'll burn yourself unless you are careless. There is a trick to dispersing the batter so that it doesn't leak out, and if it does leak out in first few pours before you get the hang of it, let it bake on so it's easier to clean later. Best bet, start with smaller amounts of batter, and work your way up. This waffle maker makes the best waffles, and it's great that you don't have to set any timers. The machine beeps when it's ready, and it beeps again to let you know you have to check the waffles and take them off the grill. The beaping takes some getting used to, but you can tone it out when you're among family. We like crispier waffles in our family, and this made crispy waffles all around, and yet they were also soft and fluffy in the center - we all agreed they were the best waffles we ever had! And there was no fighting over who got the next batch because they were done quickly, and there were plenty to go around.

5 out of 5 stars Quick Waffles   March 1, 2008

This waffle machine makes it much easier to make a meal for the family in short time. The batter did go over the edges a few times before I figured out how much batter to use but that's fine. It's a waffle maker - it happens! Clean up was fine. Best feature was the quick cooking time. I had 24 waffles for dinner and 24 for the freezer in no time.

5 out of 5 stars Cuisinart 6-Slice Waffle Iron   February 29, 2008

I love my Cuisinart WAF-6 Waffle Iron, so much so-that I bought 2 of them! We are really into 100% whole wheat waffles with fresh fruit on top. I use two irons at once just so I can speed up the process. I make different ingredients per batch for the kids (nuts, extract, spices, chopped fruits). Not everyone likes the same, so when I do break out the irons (about 1 or 2 days a month) I cook, ziploc bag each one separately, write flavor on bag, then freeze. The kids grab one they like and put them in the toaster. They even eat them without syrup - like a cookie. ***A little TIP: Do NOT refrigerate whole wheat, it becomes rubbery within hours. From freezer to toaster is best.
