Love it!!! June 4, 2008 Louise G. Shaver (Waxhaw, North Carolina United States) These are just wonderful pots and pans. They look very nice and look much more expensive than they were.
Love 'em, love 'em , love 'em!!!.... June 4, 2008 V. Russell (Atl, GA) I bought this cookware set as a belated Mother's Day present for my mom thinking "Well, its KitchenAid so it must be good". I was right....it is great!!! Cleans up VERY easily, cooks evenly, looks great. Even the little frying pans, I did some eggs-turned out wonderful! The handles are have an insulated material that keep them from getting hot. I am planning on buying a set for myself. I wish it had more pieces for the money but hey-I can't really complain, its EXCELLENT.
Good quality April 29, 2008 terim (Glendale, Ca United States) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Amazed at the quality for the price. They handle well and have a good weight without being too heavy. Have used only the saucepans so far.
Excellent performing, easy to clean, good looking, safe to use April 18, 2008 Pork Chop (Lisbon, Portugal) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
There are a number of models and designs, but this concerns the item # 74710, calling Gourmet Essentials. What first attracted me to this set, was the functionality, the price, the quality that was shown. There's a pan for frying steaks, hamburgers, omlets, etc. Next, a small pan for rice. The largest, is for pasta and potatos; the skillet is for draining and cooling the pasta. The 2 mid-size pots, I still haven't found a specialized use for, although perhaps steams spinich, vegetables, soups of some sorts might be a good idea. The bottom seams to clean outstandingly easy with mild dish washing soap, like Palmolive, vs. a Tefal Wok for example, that cooks well, but seems to deteriorate faster than this set. The handles bring safety in handling the cooked foods ...the price of the overall set seamed to me a lot less expensive than comparable models, such as those from Lagostina, and similar German-designed and manufactured brands. The quality is there ... stainless steel in and out. This is a nice collection vs. using an aluminum pot, for example, that discolors, warps, has no transparent top cover, etc
Excellent value for the money April 14, 2008 James M. Martin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After doing some research on cookware, I decided to purchase this item and I am sure glad I did!!! Though certainly not the top of the line in cookware, this set is perfect for me. The quality of the cookware is extremely good, not too heavy, not too light. The lids fit nicely but do not allow steam out - something I can live with easily. There are a number of reviews complaining about staining but I found the cookware easy to clean, even in the dishwasher with little or no staining. I would gladly recommend this set to anyone from the 'new' cook to the experienced cook.
