Cuisinart Chef's Nonstick Hard-anodized Pan November 12, 2008 Cecilia C. Y. Lee Price of the pan is reasonable. Very handy to use and the heat is even. Suitable to shallow fry with the glass cover to avoid spattering of oil.
great pan with lid November 7, 2008 G. Petrie (Stonyford, CA) We purchased this pan for our daughter in college. She wanted a pan with a lid for cooking things like Rice-a-roni and such. She has been very happy with it thus far. I works both on the stove top and in the oven and cleans up easily.
Loving It While It Lasted October 27, 2008 Curtis Shenenberger 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this Cuisinart 12" Everyday Pan w/Lid several years ago here on Amazon. First, it is what it is. A great everyday pan that can be used for just about everything! So, why the low rating. First, the coating scratched way to easily. After several years it looked like it had been in use for a decade. Secondly, the pan warped. It no longer is flat on the bottom. Probably, due to high heat. Isn't a pan supposed to take the heat? The bottom line is I am now buying another one and choose to try another brand. Hope this helps. If you want one for a few years, great. If you want one for many years, look elsewhere.
Nonstick does NOT last!! September 22, 2008 J Ma 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this pan back in February when i was looking for a 12-inch pan. I normally only get Circulon cookware, but this cuisinart pan seemed to be such a good deal I decided to go against my better judgement and purchased it. Like many who reviewed this pan, it was my absolute favorite for the first few months. It's super light for the size which is great!! You can stick it into the oven up to 500 degrees was great too(the highest temp i stuck it in was 375)!! Super easy to clean, and I barely needed any oil when i first got it, because the food released well. But after less than 6 months of usage, it no longer is non-stick. I only used plastic utensils that were designed for non-stick ware, and only used the soft side of sponge to wash it, but the coating started coming off and i would need like a tablespoon of oil to cook one sunny side up egg without it sticking. I've had my circulon sets for years(all of them at least 4 years old), and I cooked the cr@p out of them, and I can honestly say, they are still non-stick and look great(they stand up to abuse big time). If you are thinking of getting this pan, i suggest the stainless steel one of this version instead. Cuisine art still makes pretty good stainless steel products.
Good pan at a great price September 20, 2008 Artman (Phila,Pa.) You are not gonna find a better pan at this price.Nothing sticks and easy clean up.Cooks evenly and holds heat nicely. This is my second one.First one lasted about a 1 1/2 years. Not bad..........
