5 out of 5 stars High-quality finish and strong, too.   January 11, 2008

First, this is great for pots and pans(see my "customer image" above for proof)! I didn't see any reason to pay twice as much or more for a bigger brand name, and I'm very happy with my choice.
The bar has a very nice polished finish, and being stainless steel, is plenty strong enough to hold anything the screws/anchors will support. Even mounted in drywall (as mine is), it's more than secure enough for my collection of anodized aluminum pots and pans.
I can only see two potential minor drawbacks: (1) the bar is not very wide or long, so if you want a strong visual statement, get something else; (2) since the hooks are threaded onto the bar rather than just hooked on, you'll have to unscrew one end to add more; however, I actually like this feature, because it means I can't accidentally lift or knock a hook off when I'm taking down a pan.
There are other bars a bit cheaper, but none of them comes close to the All-Clad in finish quality or hook design.

1 out of 5 stars BEWARE WAREHOUSE DEALS - NOT A DEAL AT ALL   November 26, 2007

I ordered 2 of these racks from Warehouse Deals and both came with no hooks. Sure, I can purchase the hooks off-Amazon, but when you add the cost of 4 hooks plus shipping to the cost of the rack, you have spent less somewhere else. Also, it's a hassle and source of frustration most of us could do without. Stay away from WAREHOUSE DEALS and you'll be much beter off.

5 out of 5 stars Looks great, works great   October 29, 2007

These (I bought two) were easy to mount and look great mounted side-by-side right under the stainless steel back plate of my cooktop hood. The two of them span the width of the 36" hood and look almost integral to it. Being All-Clad, they are of high quality, beautifully polished, hefty stainless steel. I like that the hooks slide easily back and forth on the racks; sometimes the utensils get hot if they are above a burner with a high flame, and I can just push them to the side.

Maybe I just lucked out, but mine came with 6 hooks each. The hooks don't look like the ones in the photo on the product page. To see what they look like, go to All-Clad Stainless Hooks for Hanging Rack.

I use mine for utensils; I wouldn't suggest using them for pots, not because they're not strong enough---sturdily mounted, they would be---but because they are only 18" long (come on, people, read the product description). Only two pots, or maybe three small ones, would fit on each rack.

1 out of 5 stars Hooks missing and too small to hang pots/pans from   October 10, 2007

After having read the back and forth in the reviews about whether you can hang pots and pans from this rack, I decided to buy it. The rack came without any hooks and was way too small to hang any substantial pans or pots from it. Even if I had "professionally mounted" it, I could not have fit more than one saucepan and a small frying pan on it (if the hooks had come with which to hang them).

1 out of 5 stars Missing Hooks and Hardware   August 28, 2007

The ad for this product clearly says it contains hooks and hardware.
"Product Features
Six detachable hooks included
Mounting hardware included"

We saw some complaints that people received the item without hooks and hardware, but assumed they were flukes. We ordered 2 and sure enough, no hooks or hardware. We sent for a replacement, saying that the hooks and hardware weren't included. Today we got a replacement set - no hooks, no hardware. I would suggest you don't bother ordering this.
