DeLonghi wins again February 3, 2008 Barbara Hood (utah, usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It works great! I was skeptical because I have not seen any indoor grill that heats up enough, but this one does. If you let it warm up when you first turn it on (a few minutes longer than the instructions say), it will give you very close to the sizzle action you get on an outdoor bbq. The meat cooks very evenly and yes it takes longer than a Bbq, but it will be also less likely to be charred and burned in spots. I cooked steaks (yes they get nice grill marks), chicken drumsticks (although they are not recommended on the instruction book, I let them cook for about 1/2 to 3/4 hour and they were perfect, cooked through and full of good flavor). I also cooked an array of vegetables, from asparagus to endive and bell pepper. It all came out perfect. I clean it by removing the grill and, holding it by the electrical socket (which I don't want to get wet), I get it under the water faucet in my sink and I brush it with a bristle brush. It cleans very nicely. Also, I use Pam on the grill before I use it to help with sticking. As far as the smoke goes, I haven't noticed much of it at all. I use the lid quite a bit to retain the heat, and I also turn on the kitchen fan, but the smoke is no more or less than a normal amount you would get from regular cooking on the stove top. I recommend this one!!
stick with the George Foreman instead January 26, 2008 Willy (Paterson NJ) My George Foreman grill stopped working in December--after a couple of days I ran to Macy's to replace it but they had none in stock. In desperation I bought the DeLonghi grill. I've lived with it for about 6 weeks and my conclusion is: IT SUCKS!!!! The George Foreman grill is not perfect but if you are happy with it do not switch to this grill. Yes, the DeLonghi is easier to clean but I'm more interested in cooking than cleaning and the DeLonghi is lame in the cooking department. The glass cover of the DeLonghi is BS--we don't want to steam the food--we want to grill it.
Delonghi Perfecto Indoor Grill December 1, 2007 Glenna Milligan Really pleasant experience. Order was delivered in a timely manner, was well packed, and the Indoor Grill works great!!!!!!!
great grill, not so good service November 29, 2007 Marissa Freire (new haven, ct usa) i love the grill. its awesome. anything comes out perfect. but i was supposed to get a 20 rebate with it and i didnt. i have tried contacting amazon since i got it to try to get this rebats and no one responds. go figure...
Best Indoor Grill November 29, 2007 W. Oshiro (New Jersey) I absolutely love this grill. It's easy to use, easy to clean and does as good a job as our large outdoor gas grill. I use it at least 3 times a week for chicken, fish & even steak. Used to use a Foreman grill but like this a whole lot better. I love it so much I bought 3 of them to give as Christmas gifts.
