Great coffeemaker!!! September 16, 2008 morgan This is the one if you're from Europe and appreciate good coffee at a great price. Espresso is really hot and the foam great!! All in all, this is a buy!!!
Great until it stops working September 9, 2008 Joseph Rochetto (Milwaukee) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had the same experience as CarrieG. It made great espresso for 3 months. Now it won't pump water. I haven't decided yet if I am going to send it back to the company yet so I can't comment on their customer service.
The best espresso machine I owned. September 7, 2008 z-wave Guy (USA) This machine works great, it is heavy duty metal case and does delicious creamy espresso. This machine does not leak like the gaggia I tryed before and for the price it is far the best I used. If you get it from Amazon you will get the best service ever! The water tank on the back is removable to fill and clean, the water retention tank for the coffee drops below is also removable, easy to clean, big enough and of very good quality. The metal grill does not rust and the portafila is solid. Saeco is the perfect Italian espresso lover's machine and it is so solid that it's like it was German made and not Italian :) I checked a lot of brands, models and review and that's from far the best I found for the bucks. I owned fully automatic machines for 10x the price paid here and that one is doing better espresso than any of them... This machine is a hit!
Great Machine September 2, 2008 Carlos F. Martin (Miami Lakes, FL) If you are a begginer or noice to espresso making this machine is a great choice. After years (9) of my wife using a $40 Krups model, I gave her this machine for her birthday after seeing Alton Brown use it on his show "Good Eats." The machine performs great, always producing a nice head of crema. My wife loves it.
No bells and whistles; just makes consistently great espresso. August 12, 2008 Helen Weber (Madison, WI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I considered buying a better-looking Saeco machine then realized I would be paying $400 for the same functionality as this $150 Saeco model. This is a great little espresso maker...consistent, easy to use, easy to clean. Makes a nice double shot in about 15 seconds, comes out in a perfect thin stream just as it should. Beautiful crema. Reheats very quickly after brewing and steaming. The portafilter head is much heavier than the older comparable Saeco I owned, seems sturdier. My only complaint is the same as everyone else's, that the steamer arm doesn't bend, but once you realize not to overfill your milk container, it's no big deal. This is a simple machine that works great day after day. Unless you need a BMW on your kitchen counter (the Sbux Sirena...) this will do the job for you, for a lot less money.
