After reading all of the comments, I purchased this machine and am very happy with it. As others commented, the carafe spout does spill if you don't pour it very slowly. I contacted Mr Coffee about this and they sent me a replacement, with a longer spout that doesn't spill, within 3 days. This is my first time using an espresso machine and I think for the money it does a great job!! Thanks for all of the reviews :)

Since buying this item about 3 months ago it has worked wonderfully.
Some other buyers have complained how the coffee caraffe splashes and is difficult to pour - I agree; it just takes a little different technique to pour smoothly. Once you master that it's just fine. I like the removable water reservoir. Also some customers complained about the expresso part not heating the coffee hot enough - I haven't had this problem. So far, no problems. If Mr coffee would fix the pour spout I would give this 5 stars. However I am very satisfied with my purchase!

What a mistake. Great if you like lukewarm coffee. Warming plate is exactly that... warmer. Carafe is poorly designed... dribbles when you try to pour. Last Mr. Coffee product I'll ever buy.

It does what I got it for. Just wish it had a timer so we could wake to the smell of fresh brewed coffee.

So far i have yet to use the espresso and steamer. But i've made many cups of coffee, and it is a bit slow, which is fine, i just adjust my timetable a bit. The biggest problem is the carafe leaks. Everytime i pour it no matter how i adjust how i pour it leaks. I have to wipe the counter and my mug everytime. They really need to adjust the make of the carafe. Other than that, it's very compact and nice to look at. The coffee is good, and it has a lot of nice features. I did think from the specs that it came with a permanent removable FILTER. But that's not the case, it just has a removable filter BASKET. You still need to put filters in. I really wanted one with a removable filter, i hate dealing with paper filters. I've been looking around for a mesh removable filter but mr. coffee only sells one for 10-12 cup machines. I will try a generic one and see how that works.
