4 out of 5 stars Excellent fondue pot!   February 13, 2008

This is a good pot for many types of fondue. It looks sharp and performs well. Things get hot real fast, so make sure to supervise and stir. The best part is the "easy" clean up! For the price, it is well worth it!

It is an excellent element at the moment of looking for variety in the kitchen(cuisine), new and healthy alternatives at the moment of cooking. It is great...100 % recommended.

Nice set, mine steams to heat up too fast, for example- my fondue begins to BOIL on warm -which ruins your fondue, so I keep it below warm- then it's hard to get it warm enough. The set does have a small book with recipes, I was hoping for more recipes that are standard for this set. Extension cord is very short- need to be close to an outlet. I think I'll just keep trying. It's frustrating when you spend over $20 on cheese and it doesn't work out with company on the way over to your house.

I was at first worried that this fondue pot might not get hot enough for oil fondues, but I tried it out, and it is great! The instruction booklet recommends vegetable oil, but I used peanut oil, which smells amazing when heated. It really is very easy to clean and the temperature dial is nice because it allows you to choose the temperature, not just low/med/high. I haven't yet tried cheese or chocolate, but I figure they should be much easier.

3 out of 5 stars good fondue set, but....   January 2, 2008

having a problem with cheese burning on the bottom. It seems to be not-- non stick. I know usually stainless steel is not, but i cant find a way to make it not stick!
makes it really hard to clean...i have a burnt bottom one, sitting in my cabinet i dont know what to do with now!
