The Best May 27, 2008 Ellen G. (MASS USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Of the many vegetable brushes I've used over the years, this is the best by far. For years I've used the brand my mother used, even though it didn't do a very good job of cleaning vegetables and even though it wore out quickly. I accidentally came across this brush while shopping for a friend and figured I had nothing to lose. Am I ever glad I bought it: it fits my hand perfectly, is comfortable, and the brushes are strong enough to take the dirt off immediately---no scrubbing and scrubbing. For anyone who ever washes root vegetables, this is the one.
Stiffer would be better, but it is good and easy to store and use April 29, 2008 Gene E. Willeke (Oxford, OH USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
In general, I prefer a stiffer vegetable brush. This one is at the margin of being too soft. Apart from that, it is easy to use, easy to store, and easy to clean. I'm glad I bought it, and use it nearly every day.
Not the cheapest, but works well April 29, 2008 T. Miller (Atlanta, GA USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
OXO didn't really do anything to reinvent the vegetable brush on this product -- which is odd considering fixing something that isn't quite right about a utensil is their core business. I've used other vegetable brushes that work equally well and feel equally comfortable in my hand. The one thing that makes this brush nicer than the others I've used is a more stylish look which lets me leave it out on my countertop by the sink. The bristles also seem stiffer and haven't showed any signs of wearing down like an old toothbrush. That may happen later with more use, but so far, so good!
Handy utensil April 7, 2008 W. David Rainer This brush has many uses, not only for brushing vegetables. I used it to scrub my wok, after it cooled down of course. Comfortable grip.
Gentle on the Joints April 2, 2008 Cheryl (New Jersey) I chose this item based on its claims to be good for people with arthritis. And, I must concur. It is very comfortable on the hands.
