5 out of 5 stars Great Value   August 7, 2008

I bought this as my starter cookware set. I've had it for over a month and so far everything is great. The nonstick coating works well with no oil (as it should). It also heats evenly so you're not having to rotate food around the pan. I only wish it came with a 12" frying pan.

4 out of 5 stars Great product for great price   August 4, 2008

The overall set is fine but it would be nice to have some extra options like boiling vegitables. The lids does not have pressure pin, which would be better to control overflow to ovens etc. The frying pan is not very deep for frys.

Overall it is good for small family

I was way over due for a cookware set. This is the set that i ended up purchasing, I love it so much, so far. I found the price very resonable for a new set, i also didnt want to spend to much money. All perfect sizes for many different size meals, nonstick aspect works great, the handle grip is wonderful, very sturdy, i see this set lasting me a very long time.

I like it so far, the only problem I have is that one of the pieces got a grease stain after using and I don't know how to get rid of it without damaging the anodized.

I have used several different types of cookware in the past--most recently I was using a combination of stainless steel and coated stainless steel (Teflon on the skillets only) made by Oneida. I didn't have any major gripes with my Oneida cookware, other than the fact that the Teflon was peeling after 5 years of regular use, but I really wanted a set of cookware that had more balanced weight and "felt" like better quality. Quite frankly, however, I can't afford the $1,500 set that I really want! I was on a strict budget of $125 for this purchase, and this set kept me below budget.

I purchased the set from Amazon about 2 months ago, and I absolutely love it. The pots and pans are not to heavy, but heavy enough to feel like you won't throw them over your shoulder by accident when you pick them up quickly. The weight is balanced throughout, and I don't get that "it's so heavy that I can't lift it" feeling that I get with the one Le Cruset pan that I bought at a fire sale. I like the way everything cooks in the pan, and I've found that as long as I keep the heat a little lower than I did with my stainless steel pans, I could potentially simmer for hours without so much as browning the contents in the pan. I love these pans.

I felt like I got mostly everything that I needed in the 10-piece set. My only gripe is that the 8" and 10" skillets are just too small for most of my meals that require a skillet. I'm keeping my eye on the 12" KitchenAid skillet here on Amazon because I think that the 12" skillet would complete my set.

I highly recommend this set--it is a great deal for the price.
