5 out of 5 stars It's purrrrfect!   July 11, 2008

Couldn't help the title. This thing purrs like a kitten when it's running, so I couldn't resist. I've never owned a food processor before, and bought this one based on other reviews I'd read on amazon. I'm so happy with the choice I've made! I use it all the time, it's quick, quiet, easy to learn to use and clean-up is a snap, since everything is dishwasher safe! I know other folks have written about the safety feature on the lid and issues with liquids, but I've not run across any problems with these features... perhaps because I'm still a newbie at food processing. I couldn't be happier with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone!

5 out of 5 stars Never Fail Kitchenaid   May 25, 2008

I purchased this food processor to replace my 7 cup Kitchenaid food processor, which, by the way, has been great. I needed a larger capacity and wanted the different thickness slicing blades and citrus press. It is wonderful, powerful and versatile. I have many Kitchenaid items in my kitchen and, as always, would recommend this to anyone.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this unit. There were conflicting reviews from people on the pros and cons of a Cuisanart vs the Kitchen Aid. I am delighted that I picked the Kitchen Aid. The unit does everything it professes to, in such a short amount of time, and is so much fun to use. The whole unit is so easy to clean that it takes no time at all to clean up afterwards. I now look for recipes that I can use my KitchenAid for.

5 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!   May 9, 2008

I used to be a Magimix devotee. I have had my Kitchenaid for nearly four months now and I will NEVER go back! I love everything about it. The main body and attachments are all made from extremely sturdy and thick materials; the blade, grate, juice and slice functions perform brilliantly; I have made some of the best pizza doughs, cake mixes, mariandes, salads and juices all thanks to my Kitchenaid. I would recommend this to anyone especially those that have high standards for kitchen preparation appliances and need something that can endure heavy and frequent use. If I were to have to write one negetive thing it would be that the spatula that comes with the set is disappointing for a kitchenaid and they should have put in one of their rubberized head tools but, seriously, that's about all I can find wrong with it so far...

Very powerful and fast. Makes cookie dough very well. Very heavy and does not vibrate and move like my old processor. Do not use for liquids. Power makes top leak and overflow when doing liquids. I agree with some previous reviews that downgrade product for leaking. They should have some sort of seal to prevent spillage.
