Kitchen Aid Processor October 18, 2008 Kim R (VA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great food processor! We use it weekly. The only complaint is that it can be difficult to get the small bowl out without making a mess. Other than that it works really well and does a variety of jobs!
lower price elsewhere October 17, 2008 M. Bongiovanni (Brooklyn, NY) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
returned the unit because I found the same on another web site at a much lower price.
Well Built Food Processor October 14, 2008 Susan Ramone (Churchville, MD USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this machine a few weeks ago. The quality of the materials is excellant. The plastic parts are durable. I discovered that the parts are dishwasher safe. The machine runs extremely quiet. I observed that when the machine is in operation, it stays put, unlike the cheaper food processors, which tug and jerk at the counter. I have only used the shredding disk so far. The machine does an excellant job of completing the task. I can't wait to use the other attachments. The appliance is heavy. A separate covered tray allows for safe & easy storage of the attachments. The instruction book contained a few recipes and suggested uses for the attachments. I would only suggest that the instruction book should be more detailed with attachment usage and contain more recipes. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this appliance highly.
Love this Food Processor! October 4, 2008 Ellie (Portland, Oregon) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had a Braun food processor that lasted me at least a decade but I always had problems with the switch and the latch that kept the bowl on the machine. By the end of it's time with me it was getting harder and harder to turn it off as well as remove the bowl from the stand. Even though it still worked, I ended up throwing it away due to frustration with having to fiddle with it every time I used it. I decided that since I like to keep these things for a long time I wanted the best. After a lot of research I decided on the Kitchenaid 12 cup in Empire Red. It is gorgeous to look at for starters! It is also has a very powerful and relatively quiet motor. It is really heavy and has a very solid feel. There is no vibration or rattling. It is very easy to use with three buttons: on, off and pulse. Everything on this machine feels solid and tight. I can tell already that this one will well outlast my Braun. This is a great investment that I can tell will be in my kitchen for decades.
Good purchase October 1, 2008 JTR I bought this mostly to grate carrots which it does great except for the last skinny little bits which end up between the blade and the cover. My dog gets those! I've used it once to knead dough which it did great, but may not knead a double batch very well. I look forward to trying other things with it.
