Its ok...not great but ok December 4, 2007 K. Kransler (NY) I received the mini chopper free after rebate. It is a poor design since the motor is positioned above the blade making the part that gets the dirtiest non-submersible in water. Never the less, the function of the chopper is great. I use it exclusively as a spice grinder and have had great success. Even cinnamon sticks ground up nicely. If you can get this for free, great. If not, don't buy it.
Replacement of the old June 27, 2007 Martha E. Weatherell (San Benito, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this as a replacement for one that had seen it's last days. I bought it because I had been so satisfied with the old one. There is one spot on the motor compartment that is hard to clean, otherwise it is the greatest little grinder I have ever used.
Great chopper June 27, 2007 Stephen J. Patrick 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had the exact same item before but it quit working earlier this year. It was about 6 years old and I used it just for chopping and grinding herbs & spices. I'd say I got my money out of it many times over. I paid almost double for that chopper. My sister even used it for a few years too.
Quick and easy May 7, 2007 Greg Stoddart (Chicago, IL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Great little processor. It has two speeds which is handy, and a double sided blade - one side sharp for dicing and the other side blunter for pureeing. The slower speed is more than powerful enough for most foods. It works best by giving a few short pulses rather than letting it run for too long, otherwise only the food at the bottom near the blade gets chopped.. and eventually mushed. I wanted something this size to make small amounts of ingredients for recipes. It's tremendous for garlic, nuts, herbs, onion, pepper. A few short pulses and it's done. I also tried mixing the topping for carrot cake the other day and it worked a treat. Clean up is straight forward. Two seconds to wipe off the top part which holds the motor (don't rinse in water), and rinse off the bowl and blade. It's very compact so takes up little room. It comes with a little spatula which is the ideal size for scooping out food from the mixing bowl. Don't expect to use it for all your processing needs but for certain tasks it's well worth it.
Okay for minimal use April 1, 2007 London Berry (North Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used this mini grinder as a baby food maker. Despite light use, I had to call the manufacturer and have my unit replaced. Apparently, the motor burned out. The second one I got has been fine, but I've only put VERY SOFT food in it. Another problem is cleaning the workbowl. The top of the workbowl is the bottom of the motorhousing, so it cannot be put in the dishwasher or even immersed in water. This makes proper sanitary cleaning difficult.
