5 out of 5 stars Really Works Well!!   April 12, 2008

So far on the program about a week and have lost about 9 pounds, I am not going to lie and tell you this diet/detox is easy, but it does work. I had my first colonic today and I didn't care for it very much and skeptical about getting another one, but on a good note I have had a little more energy, finally getting my cleaning caught up, and the pounds are shedding away fast. The book is very informative, full of information on healthy living and modern up to date scientific facts. I definitely recommend the asian spinach soup recipe that is found at the end of the book. It is very flavorful, even if you are not on a detox this is still very tasty. Also you can drink as much of your favorite tea (non caffienated) as you want which has been really nice. The hunger pangs have been hard during the first few days, even though the book claims that you won't feel hungry. I have felt a little less hungry towards the end of the week. A lot of the people that gave it bad reviews have never tried it so I wouldn't let their negativity effect your judgement in trying out the plan. So far it's been alot of fun, and I hope to see more results as I continue.

I have no doubt that if one followed all the author's suggestions and bought all her supplements this plan would work. However unless you have a lot of time , (to get colonics and give yourself enemas) as well as money (to buy all the additional products you need to follow the daily menu plan) then I do not think this plan is for you.

5 out of 5 stars Feel your best!   March 16, 2008

I did this cleanse because a friend of mine recommended it and it is one of the best things I've ever done for my body. I did it for 15 days, and yes, I lost 15lbs, but more importantly than the weight I lost my body felt the best it has possibly ever felt.

I've read some of the other reviews, people said it was disgusting or they were hungry all the time, and I should say that I did not follow the regimen to the letter. I bought Naked Juice instead of Martha's Vineyard's juices, I used supplements that I liked, I did a Yogic intestinal wash (Laghoo shankhaprakshalana) instead of enemas, I added a pinch of salt to soups I made that were too bitter, and I ate soups at restaurants when I went out with friends. I think in order to keep from failing you have to allow yourself some wiggle room. The end result was amazing ... my friends all said my skin was glowing, my mood improved, my energy level increased, I wanted to exercise, and I felt fantastic in my body. And when I did start eating again, everything tasted SOOO GOOD! I enjoyed food on a level I never knew was possible.

If I'd followed the cleanse exactly my results could only have been better, but the way I followed it I didn't get hungry, I didn't feel deprived, it wasn't disgusting, and I still got all the benefits. I highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to improve their health, and the bonus is you'll get an improved relationship with your body and with food.

1 out of 5 stars Yuck -triple yuck and yuck!!!   March 15, 2008

To start - it sounds great. Lots of healthy fruits, veggies... reality is it is so disgusting! And they never really tell you what to do. There are clues throughout the book - but you really have to look for them. A friend did this diet and she looks unbelievable and feels unbelievable. After 2 days my gag reflex wouldn't stop. The upside is that any other way of eating to benefit your health after this one is pure bliss! I haven't cheated on my new diet in 3.5 weeks. Just thinking about the Diet detox keeps me on the straight and narrow!-

Need more energy? This book will help you. And you'll likely loose a few pounds too. Nutrion is key! She has some good tips.
