First bad OXOperience July 22, 2008 Pavan Battar (Port Orange, FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Worked good for a few weeks, but the measurements have flaked off after just a few uses. It's been hand washed with mild detergent, so not sure what's going on...usually Oxo has great build quality and forethought!
Sorry I bought this June 22, 2008 Clerk Kent (In the heart of Dixie) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Good idea IF the product held up to use. The white strip with the measurements flaked off - what good is a measuring cup without measuring lines. The plastic is too thin and flimsy. A waste of money. If they come out with a glass one with measuring lines that are painted into the glass, I might consider it.
Unique measuring cup June 11, 2008 Creative License (San Jose, CA) This is rather "odd" to look at...but what a great design! I am thinking there was an Engineer involved in the design of THIS measuring cup! This is like the "build a better mousetrap" thinking...as you don't have to hold the cup up and look to see HOW much is in it...you read it from just looking down INTO the cup...what an idea! Another great OXO gadget...and a great shower gift =)
it does what it says... February 24, 2008 Natalie Natalie (los angeles) It's a measuring cup... It's plastic, so great if it drops. It's cool that you can see the measure units from above, and that it has a soft grip. It does its job well.
Look down at the measure instead of crouching down -- what a concept! December 22, 2007 Sean P. Logue (Research Triangle Park, NC USA) The advantage this measuring cup has over the multitude of other ones is the ability to look straight down into the cup and see the measuring lines. This is a serious innovation, and once you try it, you'll wonder why it is ever done any other way. With a standard measuring cup, to see the volume requires the user to crouch down and view the side of the cup straight on. This makes it very difficult to accurately fill the cup, as ideally you want to be watching the level at the same time as pouring it. The Oxo cup fixes all that by putting the measure indicators inside the cup at an angle. Very easy to read while pouring. I do wish they would make it in a Pyrex glass version for hot liquids. But, other than that, it is perfect.
