It WAS great, until it died competely. September 15, 2008 Heidi (California) Bought this just over a year ago and didn't open and start using it until summertime. It was wonderful. We loved it. Then suddenly, when making our second waffle of the day last Saturday it just died. Lights off, no heat, etc. Just after we'd poured the batter in. What a mess!!! And of course, the warranty expired a bit ago. I love these products when they work, but they do consistently seem to suffer the affects of age. (and this was a young one!)
Decent Product September 13, 2008 H. Frady (Central Indiana) We have had the waffle maker for about a month now and how used it every weekend. It is not as heavy as I thought it would be (for the price). It makes excellent waffles, but ours seems to get one side of the waffle more done than the other. The manufacturer suggests setting it on "4" for perfectly done waffles, but this is not nearly high enough on our model (barely done). We decided to purchase this model after staying at a local hotel and while there we asked what type of batter they used...it is Aunt Jemima Complete mix. This is what we have been using (according to the waffle instructions) and it works perfect. I would not use the very detailed recipes included with the machine. Overall, the waffle maker makes great waffles, but I do not plan on it lasting a real long time.
Breakfast Fun! September 13, 2008 Esche Family (Wisconsin) Our family enjoys making homemade waffles. This is a "use at home" version of the ones that they have at hotel breakfast buffets. It's light weight so it's easy to store away and take out again. Easy to operate also.
Our Third Waring Pro Waffle Maker Purchase! September 12, 2008 Ima (Valparaiso IN USA) After research and reading about them , I requested and received (from husband) the Waring Pro WMK300 for a Christmas gift last year. My kids were so impressed with it when we made waffles while they were home that I, in turn, bought each of them one. Can't go wrong with it. Just like in the motel breakfast bars! We like the overnight waffle recipe in the booklet, crispy and light. Easy to use, it tells you when they are done, and easy to clean.
Just like in the hotel! September 11, 2008 M. Weaver (Monterey, CA) Ever since my wife and I had these easy-to-make waffles during a hotel stay, we've wanted one. Initially I was put off by the high price but was very happy with the Amazon price. Since it arrived, we've used it weekly and loved it. Getting the temp setting right for your taste takes a bit of patience, but the tasty waffles are worth it. We like chopping up fruit/pecans etc and mixing in with the batter for even tastier waffles.
