The coffee maker is sturdy, good looking and easy to use. It's fast and 6 cups are enough for two people with normal morning coffee appetites. I use the included gold filter, and it's still super easy to clean. The best part is the taste. I have my beans ground by the coffee shop and they're not always as freshly roasted as I would like. But it still tastes amazing (I use 1 tablespoon per cup.). The flavor is full and strong, and the richness of the taste specific to the origin of the beans comes through.

I am an engineer and I appreciate well designed products. This coffemaker is easy to use and simple in construction. If you are looking for a coffeemaker with a thermal carafe minus bells and whistles like automatic on/off features, this Braun coffeemaker is a good option.

It makes good coffee, I don't like the gold filter as it lets the small dust size grounds through. I put a paper filter inside it and the coffee is clean. I am a purked coffee kinda guy but this machine is Ok when time is not on my side

bought this coffee pot back last April and use it at least 5X per week. Love the water filter built in so I can use water from the sink and not worry about it being filtered. Looks good sitting on the counter too. So far no problems with it.

I owned the old version of this same brand and model which served me well for 15+ years. After reading bad reviews of other brands on this site I thought I'd stick with what works. I like this unit because it doesn't have any useless features like flavor settings, timers, clocks, etc. It just does what it is supposed to do. It is well made of decent materials and delivers a good pot of hot coffee. My one complaint is that the carafe doesn't keep the coffee as hot as my old one. This one has a metal interior, the old one was silvered glass. The metal may be more rugged but even with preheating it only keeps the coffee hot for a few hours at best. Unlike some other brands reviewed, I've had no problems with spilling, leaking, or other nasty operation. The lid is well designed and is very easy to pour (better than the old one). Overall I'm happy with the purchase.
