Great replacement with new features September 27, 2007 S. Klein We bought this Sharp to replace one we built in 20 years ago. It was a 9H something. This new unit fit exactly in the same enclosure. We like it better than the old one. The pop corn sensor is fantastic. No problems with it thus far. The old one was still working, but most of the buttons had quit.
Sharp convection microwave July 4, 2007 Terri Phillips (Florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a replacement for my previous Sharp convection microwave oven that I had purchased in 1999. I looked around and couldn't find one that I liked better for my family which includes teenagers. The convection oven works great and doesn't heat up my house like the oven on my range, and it can also work as a second oven during holidays! The microwave works well, wish it were 1100 watts instead of 900...I guess the trade off is worth it to me. Easy to use. Love the stainless steel...my last one was black. A great buy!
Better than a microwave November 26, 2006 Elizabeth Lumpkin (Kansas) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Okay, this little powerhouse warms my bagel and melts butter and boils water and so forth, but this weekend, it saved my life too :-) I went to the grocery store at 8:30 p.m. for a turkey to serve at 1:00 the next day. The package said it would take 3-4 days to defrost! Threw it in my "microwave" on the compu-defrost setting, and it defrosted my turkey lickity split. Then I figured out I wasn't going to have room for the rolls, potatoes, stuffing, green beans, etc., in the oven. So the next day, 90 minutes before mealtime, I threw this poor abused bird into my Sharp, and put it on the compu-roast setting. It was the best turkey we've ever had...crispy skin, tender juicy white and dark meat, and when everyone said "how did you do it?" and I pointed to the microwave...well...I looked like the chef o' the century and it was all thanks to my Sharp Microwave.
THE BEST PURCHSE I'VE MADE May 7, 2006 MKCG Giftlady (Missouri) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
My built-in oven has to be replaced, requiring cabinet work as well, and my old microwave burned out. From the day I brought home this microwave combination I have been very impressed. I use it for baking, warming, grilling, etc. With it being the only oven in the house, I even use it for baking cakes, even though I have to bake each layer separately. While it is limited in space, thereby limiting the size of pizza or roasting/baking pan you can use, with a little bit of planning you can get around it. In fact, last Thanksgiving I roasted my turkey in my Grill 2 Convection Oven. It was wonderful. It took a while for all of us to get used to putting a bowl underneath our microwave popcorn packages, but when we do, the preprogrammed popcorn setting works great. I don't know what I would have done without this machine. It has been a lifesaver.
