I bought this one last June , now it stopped working at all. Yes, It could NOT heat anything!! Another shortcoming of the oven is that it is too hard to remove the bad smell. I have to say that it is the most horrible microwave I have ever met!!

5 out of 5 stars Eye Catching and went BOOM**CRASH**BANG**AND BLEW UP!!   February 15, 2005

I spent about 3 weeks shopping for a microwave oven and ran acrossed this Haier for $30.00. The store I purchased it at also had another Haier 1.0 cubic feet and 1,000 power with all the bells and whisles for only $50.00 which I almost purchased. Afer really thinking about my needs and amount of space I had to store a microwave I went with the $30.00 model with the cool oval window. Now my needs are simple all I do is heat up stuff and maybe now and the defrost. If you are the type of person that uses a micrwave alot and needs something larger you may want to upgrade as this microwave is for someone who has simple needs and wants to add a eye catching item to thier space.....great for small kitchens as I have! As far as everything else it works great but takes a little time to get used to the dial after haveing a digital for many years. Also my old digtal also had a clock and this cute model doesn't! All in all we are happy and my husband gets a good laugh as he says it reminds him of a washing machine. Sears offers a model alot like to but cost much more money! Happy Microwave Hunting!

*****UPDATE!!!!!!!!!! It started makeing funny sounds and blew up I don't think it even made it 10 months DON'T BUY THIS MICROWAVE!!******

I bought this one from Amazon.com around 7 months ago with very low price. It works great. But it does't have great features like other Microwaves had like digital and time setup etc... I like it.

2 out of 5 stars Stopped Working After 2 months   September 23, 2004

Was quite noisy initially. Then one day it stopped all noise and started working quietly, so so quietly that I felt something fishy. Then on the 3rd day of 'quiet' operation it stopped all together !

Not recommended. But if you want want a temporary solution for a cheap price, go for this.

5 out of 5 stars Pretty darned good for a cheap microwave!   September 10, 2004

I bought this to quickly replace my old trusty 1200w unit. This has been a great stop-gap. Yes, it is a pain in the butt to open, and the light doesn't work when you open the door. But for $20... it's a real steal.
