Worth Every Penny!!! November 9, 2005 E. Hunter (California, USA) 36 out of 36 found this review helpful
When my daughter moved out into her first apartment recently I got custody of the expresso machine and she got my microwave and blender. Well, this was my opportunity to get a really good microwave and I'm very, very pleased with this large Panasonic. I'd never owned a full size microwave oven before and was very nervous about ordering one so big; especially since the description says "gigantic." When it arrived (three days earlier than expected) and I unboxed it I was surprized at how light the oven is and also how nice the stainless steel looks. So I cleared out a corner and hooked it up. This microwave is a great oven. The Sensor Reheat alone is worth the price you pay. Just put your food on the turntable, press Sensor Reheat and Start, and eveything is evenly heated and ready to eat in a very short time. What a difference 1250 watts makes. I've never liked using a microwave to defrost. My chicken breasts always came out overcooked on the edges, somewhat thawed closer in and still frozen in the middle. The Inverter Turbo defrost on this oven does an amazing job of completely thawing food without cooking it. And the programmed Sensor Cooking functions give you a meal thoroughly heated without any ice crystals or cold spots in the middle. Even left over refrigerated Taco Bell buritos come out pretty darn good. The size of this oven is perfect for cooking with stackable microwave cookware or even a microwave pressure cooker. After two weeks of being able to cook entire meals at once I just don't know how I ever managed with the smaller compact 800 watt GE I had. This oven is even big enough to hold a large 14" browning plate to cook pizza. Lastly, I like that you don't have to constantly refer to the manual to use this microwave. In about 10 minutes I new everything is needed to use this oven. The control panel gives you step-by-step menu choices and walks you through the more complex cooking functions. You can even choose how fast the instructions scroll across the display. Well, if you're like me and want something that you can take out of the box and use without memorizing a manual; cooks your food evenly instead of turning it into jerky or giving you a glacial center mass surrounded by super-heated goo, then this is a great microwave to consider buying.
Excellent performing microwave oven November 1, 2005 Hammad Malik (Edison, NJ United States) 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
I have owned this microwave for around 1 month. It looks great (with its stainless steel look) and performs even better. The most beautiful thing is that it can warm food down to the center evenly! It is quite roomy too. My wife loves its look, features and convenience. The small scrolling display provides helpful hints about which buttons to hit next once you begin entering heating instructions. The buttons are all labelled adequately (the size of the button is tiny though) and normal operation of the microwave doesn't require referring to the included instructions manual.

This has alot of space inside. It is deep and high which makes it good for large items. The unit is lighter than my 4 year old Samsung which was smaller. Cooks fast and evenly. The stainless steel is attractive. Highly recommended.
