5 out of 5 stars i can't ask for more...   May 21, 2008

This is idle pressure cooker and the most convenient one too. Where I came from all our recipes and local food are cooked with pressure cookers and we are very familiar with the European models like Turbo and Saab. When I came to the US for study I was surprised how people are afraid of it and hesitate before buying one. So I start looking for the perfect one and this came upon me. What caught my attention in this model are:
- Stainless steel (DON'T USE ALUMINUM)
- Tight seal no leakage
- high safety measures
- steel - brass sandwich base very good for distributing heat
- light weight
- smooth interior easy to clean
- removable seal ring so you can clean it in the dishwasher
- perfect size for meals of 1-6 people
I received mine few days ago and start my trial at once. I cooked rice with beef and it was great. It needs a previous knowledge of cooking times so you don't end up with half burned pot of rice. Adding a pressure gauge to it will very helpful.

works great, cleans up easy, roomy - I have always owned 6 quart pressure cookers. Since the family is growing I decided to get the 8 and I am very happy with this one

This pressure cooker is a life saver for me! My days are usually hectic including meetings, team planning and sometimes travel. In the past I would resort to preparing processed food which caused and unhealthy diet and weight gain for my family. No more of that--now delicious nutritious meals are ready in half the time, I am delighted. Also, I received my product before the delivery date.

My first pressure cooker is presto aluminum 8QT. I like it very much. But after buying a new cooktop, I didn't dare to use aluminum ccookware. So I turn to SS(Stainless Steel) 8QT. I prefer long one hand handle, but presto didn't have SS pressure cooker with one handle. During X'mas, I purchase a ss 6QT as gift to my mother-in-low. She has a 8 QT already, and she always say that's too big for her. She and I really like the ss 6QT, and I plan to buy one when it's on sale. Recently I buy another ss 8qt for my mom. (the pressure cooker I talk about here are all Presto) I know there are many good brand pressure cookers in the market and there are really expensive. I'm not a prefessional cook. I'm a housewife and I cook everyday. For me, Presto is good enough.
