good deal April 7, 2008 Lee H. Osborn (michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The steamer is a good product at a good price and it was delivered very quick.
LIKE THIS STEAMER SO MUCH I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE RIGHT AWAY April 1, 2008 Suzanne C. Henderson (TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
....SORTA.....MY AKITA CHEWED UP THE RICE BOWL...OF MY NEW STEAMER. TO REPLACE THE RICE BOWL COST ALMOST AS MUCH AS A NEW STEAMER, SO I OPTED FOR THE SECOND NEW STEAMER. AT LEAST I WILL HAVE SOME SPARE PARTS JUST IN CASE. I WON'T BE LEAVING THE RICE BOWL IN THE KITCHEN SINK THIS TIME. THIS STEAMER IS VERY VERSATILE AND EASY TO USE.
Simple, it just works! February 29, 2008 uncle B (State College, PA USA) This is my second one (first one sent off to a friend after many years of use). It is simple (just a mechanical dial for minutes). Steam saturates the container in 3~5 minutes, so add your cooking time on top (if you are looking at a cook book specifically written for this model, they might have incorporated that start-up time). Hard water scaling on the heating element can be removed / controlled by boiling the water with a teaspoon of lemon juice, and cleaning with cloth (to me, it is a maintenance routine once in a while).
Very convenient and clean; not good for steam fish February 24, 2008 L. Jin (San Jose, CA) I like this steamer. It makes steam and clean easy. The only thing is if you steam fish in the bowl offered by the product, it usually takes longer. So, it's a bit hard to set the right time.
I LOVE it...but February 11, 2008 J. Gibbs (Dallas, TX USA) This product is fantastic. I am very glad I bought it. It works very well and is easy to use. We will definitely eat more veggies this way. But...don't expect to have any clue how long to cook anything. The guide inside says how to turn it on and where stuff goes but that is it. You will have to buy a cookbook to figure out how long anything should cook. And bookstores have not caught on to the steam craze so save yourself the lookign and buy one on Amazon.
