4 out of 5 stars Warm Button Suppose to be ON   September 19, 2007

A lot of folks don't understand that all rice cookers will be kept in the WARM stage once it's done cooking (COOK). There is nothing wrong with the rice cooker and nothing to shut it off. It's standard in all rice cooker. Yes, unless you unplug it, but once you do, your rice is no longer being kept WARM and spoils easily.

5 out of 5 stars Basic Good Rice cooker   September 17, 2007

This rice cooker basically cooks almost perfect rice.
This cooker is good for the price paid. If you want electronic
readout, prepare to pay more. After the rice is finished cooking, it will keep it warm, up to two hours without drying out.

This is a great looking cooker. It is big enough for a rice fest. Works beautifully. Rice comes up perfectly cooker every time. Got it when there was a 50% off offer. Great value for money.

The "keep warm" function is way, way too hot and you cannot turn off the unit. You must unplug it. Bad idea, for the foregetfull, and I don't remember reading about this "must unplug to turn off" aspect, in the description text. Works well enough, and cleans up very easily.
