Very Nice Stands For A Nice Price July 24, 2008 P. Agee (USA) I normaly do not do reviews but I just wanted to say that I am very happy with the stands and how they how they look . They worked great for me and I will be buying another set for my front speakers
Great Product & Quick Delivery July 22, 2008 montana transplant (Omaha, NE) The products were exactly as advertised and a good value for the price. They are heavy and work well with surround sound speakers. The delivery was very quick. I would buy from this company again.
Almost perfect fit July 21, 2008 J. R. Andersen (Seattle) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm using these stands with the Onkyo HT-S5100 7.1 home theater system. It wasn't a standard fit for any of the speakers, but they are sturdy stands with stable bases. Even though the front left and right speakers are much larger than the surround speakers, I found using wood screws in the mounting plates was easily accomplished, and the stands more than adequately supported all of them, even the ones outside the recommended specs. As another reviewer noted, it's easy to overtighten the height adjustment ring, as it's easy to do. Aside from that, these are economical, unassuming, easy to set up, and very stable stands that just work.
Good construction, doesn't work for keyhole mounts July 18, 2008 E. Reith (Shakopee, MN, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I rated this a 3 because while it has good solid construction, and is looks great, it did not work well for my application/speaker style. I have fairly small speakers, but the mount on there is a keyhole type, so that you could mount them on a wall with just a screw. The problem is that the keyhole is close to the top of the speaker, similar to a picture frame, and the "L" bar that us used to mount the speaker is not tall enough to reach the keyhole. This left me with drilling a hole in my speaker so that I could use the L-bar. I am afraid to do that as I do not know what the interior of the speaker looks like, and I do not want to drill into something vital. The other option was to use the provided 2 way foam tape. This does not work well either as the speakers have little rubber feet on them that does not stick to the tape well. Basically my speakers are just sitting on the stand. One other issue is that I cannot run my wire thru the stand as the wire is hard wired into the speaker, and on the other end is a hardwired plug that goes into my receiver. This does not fit in the tube. I do not feel like cutting an splicing the wire, so basically the wire runs down, and is taped to the back, but is still visible.
