Great programmable timer August 29, 2007 G. Uyeki (California) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product works as advertised. I'm using it to control a whole house fan. Since the fan needs to run at night, I program the timer to turn the fan on at midnight and run for a couple hours. The LCD panel is great. You are able to program in 30 min increments. The instructions are straight forward and the connections are easy to make. I also like the ability to turn it on manually.
Efficient Timer July 27, 2007 John Yahn (Gatesville, NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This timer works very well with compact florescent bulbs, one of a very few that does. Easy to wire and install. A little difficult to program (the screen is small) but it can be set to cycle on/off many times a day. Overall very satisfied.
SmartDisk 6124H, Decora 24 hour Programmable TIMER July 6, 2007 N. L. Collins (Jamaica) I live in Jamaica and after my house was broken into, I had to come up with a solution for some external lighting especially as I dont always reach home in time to turn on my lights. I really think this product is first class, so far we have had no problems with the product, it takes a little seting up especially whenever we loose power for long periods.
Pretty good, but not perfect June 4, 2007 El Geraldo (Texas, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a house with a 20' ceiling over the living area, and wanted a timer to switch the suspended ceiling fan on and off throughout the day. This timer fits the bill fairly well. My observations - Pros * Looks good. Flush fitting design with no sticky-outy bits * EL backlit LCD display is very easy to read in the dark. Display lights up when any button is pressed. * Uses a relay rather than the clunky motor/switch mechanism used by some other similar timers. Cons * Easy for kids to mess up the programming - no programming lock and buttons are all accessible on the front panel. * No OFF/ON override. You can manually switch the timer on or off with the big button, but the timer always has precedence. When the next half hour time step rolls round, it reverts to the programming.
Reliable April 7, 2007 Marc L. Pirro 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This unit is dependable and reliable unlike the three Intermatic timers it replaces. Unlike the Intermatic which uses a battery and a tiny motor to switch the contacts, this unit is a 110 volt device which means it needs a neutral wire to function. Most light switch boxes don't have one so be prepared to add one if necessary.
