Fun... Yet Frustrating September 18, 2008 Mom of Four Sons (Dallas, Texas) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My youngest son loves art.. He loves to draw. So, I purchased this for his birthday. He and I put it together with no help from the directions. We used the picture of the item from the box! The directions were not clear, and there were no written directions... it was all pictures! Anyway, once we got it together, we did notice a minor problem. The hard surface used to write on comes in two pieces. So right in the middle of the writing surface, you have a major indention where the two pieces connect. There is no possibility of writing on the pad of paper without having the annoying dip, aka lack of support, from behind when you get to the middle of your picture. The product comes with markers and the paper. My son was really excited about writing directly on the hard surface which needs a dry erase marker. Of course, I wasn't prepared to have those types of markers available; those markers aren't readily lying around my house. The toy has a lot of cubbies to hold markers, crayons, and such. All kids like to have little areas to put their things. Overall, we are happy with the item. It goes back to the tried and true statement, "you get what you pay for." If we wanted a professional art easel, we wouldn't have purchased this one.
Not Durable September 9, 2008 Rogee Fe De Leon (New York) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We bought this easel as a Christmas gift for my daughters and nieces. With 4 girls using the easel all under the age of 7, it only lasted barely a month. The price is good, and it might be good for one child, but we are now shopping for a more sturdy easel. "Buy cheap, buy twice" definitely applies to this product.
Good with drawing paper September 3, 2008 Gertrude, The Bad Queen (West Michigan) 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is a quality product. I was surprised because I had never taken Rose Art anything very seriously. Given two sets of markers, I would always choose Crayola. Don't bother with the white board. Enjoy it as an easel. I was very impressed by this easel which I purchased as a Lightning Deal for $[...]. The directions for assembly are ludicrous. Really you have to look at the pictures and take your best guess.
Perfect for a limited space August 26, 2008 slow lost plane (over some mountain somewhere) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
We got this so our daughter could have one (this will be for her birthday) that can be put away when the space is needed for other things. It has a wrinkle where the whiteboard folds (and it gives a little when marking on). We tested it to know what to expect on her birthday. Other than that, it seems remarkably sturdy.
Bought this on lightning Deals and my 3 year old and 8 year old Cant get enough August 10, 2008 Chris Kovach (Kennewick, Wa) I bought this a few weeks ago for $[...] on a lightning deal, bought some paint pens to go with it and set it up for my daughter and son, They cant get enough, even at $[...] , I would buy another if I needed it. This is a very good product overall, yeah the easel has a line down the middle but its **Portable** and can go anywhere, and I have a school art supply place right next to my apartment so the paper hasn't been an issue. I recommend this for anyone!!
