I like this machine, for the price. It grinds grain well, with one exception, this unit does not grind oats.

5 out of 5 stars Nice grain mill attatchment   May 16, 2007

This grain mill attatchment is perfect for milling grains for your family. It fits nicely onto your kitchenaid mixer and works real well. Just remember to give it a rest every 2 cups that you grind and it will work great for you.

What else can be said. A nice addition to your KitchenAid accessories, but beware, any moisture in the grain and it clogs up, just like they warn you!

4 out of 5 stars K/A Grain Mill Attachment   January 9, 2007

I've used this several times with my Professional 5 Plus mixer with no problems. I have started from the coarsest setting and progressed to the finest. I have also started with the finest setting and worked the other direction to get the desired coarseness without any problem.

The Professional 5 has all metal gears which may be why I haven't had any problems like others have had. It could be I haven't used it enough yet.

This is very noisy, with a slightly high pitch, grinder. I gave 4 stars because the grinder will only grind low-moisture, non-oily grains.
