As advertised October 30, 2008 Donald Weber (San Antonio, TX USA) Haven't used it much but it has worked as advertised and I have no complaints... so I recommend it.
No more guesswork October 30, 2008 R. Cooper (Virginia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a widower and do all my own cooking. It used to be all guesswork, but no longer. The unit takes up little space and does a good accurate job. I use it for (1) measuring for recipes, (2)buying bulk meats and packaging for indiv. meals (3) getting weight of meat/fowl/fish for microwave defrost, and (4) figuring weight for mailing overweight items. I love the tare function so i can use a plate or bowl when repackaging bulk meats.
Accurate and convenient October 28, 2008 Zack Davisson (Seattle, WA, USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Here it is. You have found it. You are reading this review because you are looking for a good digital kitchen scale, you have been shopping around, checking your options...but here is the one you need. A scale is necessary for any serious work in the kitchen, especially for baking when accuracy is essential. I looked all over for just the right one, in both its ability to hold decent weights, in accuracy and over-all design. This little fellow is absolutely perfect, and once I found it my search was over. There are some that are a lot cooler looking, and if you never want to actually use it but just have a fancy decoration for your kitchen, you might want to try one of those glass-and-chrome numbers. There are some with a lot of extra features and whistles and bells that you will use once for fun and then never again. But for those who are actually doing some work in their kitchen, this functional little fellow has exactly what you need. The "tare" feature lets you zero out the weight of the container for when you are measuring in bowls and such. It is compact, which is important if your kitchen isn't huge. Durable which means it is going to do its job for a long time. And accurate enough to measure sacks of flower or tiny weights of spice.
Giving it a second chance October 24, 2008 Kelly L. Mcfarling 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My first scale pooped out on me after less then a month. The digital screen constantly read OVER. only on rare occasions would it let me weigh anything. I contacted Amazon, and a new one was sent to me within a week (just received yesterday). I am hoping this one will last longer. I loved it until it died! hoping that this was just a fluke and the second one will cure all my woes. Amazon is amazing though. Great customer service!
Perfect little gem October 16, 2008 QueenOPearls (Lakewood, OH) I, too, have tested this little scale and it is accurate. I like the lightness for portability. I use it for weighing out dye stuffs for my artwork. Very convenient for weighing even the fabric after zeroing with the container. It's convenient for weighing small shipments also. I'm very happy with this little scale-- tucks away nicely.
