3 out of 5 stars Does the job   June 22, 2008
E. Power (Garden Grove, CA USA)
I got this juicer for my home grown citrus. I have tried it on my grapefruit, and it reams out the peel very well, and juices it completely. The only thing that I would warn you about is the auto reverse feature. Every time you shift your hand or ease up the pressure, the juicing will stop, and will resume in the opposite direction. This is good for juicing, but can cause your hand to slip, and the juicer to rotate away from you. This will cause the spout to move away from whatever you are having the juice pour into. Be prepared and have a good grip on both the fruit and the juicer to avoid this and the resulting splash on the counter.

1 out of 5 stars A Great Disappointment   May 8, 2008
Gilbert B. Dunkley (Washington, D.C., USA)
This juicer is meant to perform a simple function. What could go wrong? Well, it fails at 50 percent of its task. Yes, it extracts all the juice from your orange, etc., but it fails utterly in its secondary function, that of extracting the large proportion of juice that remains trapped in the pulp within the strainer. The high-speed centrifuge spin that is meant to extract that significant amount of trapped juice from the pulp fails utterly and completely. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

1 out of 5 stars Hang the Designers!   April 23, 2008

A product so bad the manufacturers must have known we would hate it before they ever put it on the shelves. I went back to my manual juicer after investing in this turd. Spills juice on the counter every time you use it, produces half the juice per fruit that I can make by hand, two-handed operation necessary and it's expensive. Mine's under the counter now, maybe someday I'll tear it apart for the motor. So much for your good name, Cuisinart. You knew you were ripping off your customers when you decided to sell this thing, now you never get to peddle me another appliance for as long as I live. Shortsighted of you? Who knows? I'm no marketing scumbag hired to post fake favorable reviews on this site; just another customer dumb enough to believe your brand name still meant quality. Live and Learn. Buyers beware.

Great Value. Wish it had more juice storage and retractable cord really is not retractable or stowable. High-speed centrifuge effect is great to extract more juice. Super easy to clean.

1 out of 5 stars Not Good   February 29, 2008

This appliance does not work for several reasons:

1. The spout is too short and your juice almost always spills on the counter.

2. This appliance trips the circuit breaker virtually every time and I have to make sure that I'm juicing near the breaker so that after half piece of fruit I have to reset the switch. This can make squeezing 12 oranges take about 5 minutes.

3. The appliance does not adhere to the counter and can spin out of control at any time. This makes juice fly everywhere.

I cannot emphasize this enough: Not Good.
