KitchenAid Hand Blender May 28, 2008 G. E. Diaz (Barnstable, MA) Well-made, easy to handle KitchenAid Hand Blender -- totally satisfactory. Easy to use, several speeds; easy and quick to separate motor section from blending section for washing under running water. Not too heavy as some have stated and not cumbersome. Since it separates in two parts as I stated above, I store in a kitchen drawer which takes little space. Blending super. Can't say anymore. Don't hesistate to purchase this quality product which lives up to KitchenAid quality.
essential kitchen tool May 3, 2008 Shasta (Ma) Hand immersion blenders can be an essential tool if it is made right. If it is easy to use, easy to clean and powerful it will quickly become your favorite thing to use in your kitchen. This IS just such essential kitchen tool!!! Since the blender part is detachable it makes it very easy to clean. And, the actual blender "stick" is not made of plastic it feels sturdy enough to do many tasks...however, not quite enough to crush ice. Frozen fruit in a smoothie is a snap...just do not overload! There is heft in the immersion blender so many tasks can be tackled! The only bad thing is the placement of the speed adjustments is on top of the stick so when you are adding stuff and need to adjust the speed you need to stop and use both hands...
Super Usefull May 2, 2008 raceinggreen (Las Vegas) I use this every day, its not one of those items that's just fun to show off. Easy to clean. I make a morning smoothie drink and in the evening I use it for sauces and soups.
Kitchenaid Hand Blender April 21, 2008 Creative Cooking Works as exactly as desired. I've used it to puree soups (done in a couple of minutes) and to make homemade pasta sauce (blend together canned tomatoes, olive oil, herbs) and it worked great for both recipes. Clean-up was a snap, too. Before getting the immersion blender, I used a regular blender to puree my recipes - time consuming and messy. For the price, this is a great kitchen tool.
A completely winning stick blender April 19, 2008 John Snell (Beaverton, OR USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is the third stick blender I've owned and it's unquestionably the best. I love the fact that the thing just absolutely will not choke. I've used it to make pesto and do the other assorted chopping I'd break out the food processor for when the batches are larger. But when smaller amounts are called for -- like for dinner tonight, rather than going through a harvest from the garden -- this does the trick nicely. It's great for making marinara from canned tomatoes (I used to use my Waring blender for this, but it was hard not to over blend things.) But the best I'll save for last: The business end of the thing pops right off and will go in the top rack of the dishwasher. It's a workhorse. Has the power it needs for routine jobs, is priced reasonably and clean up is an absolute breeze. I wish all my purchases worked out this well.
